![]() This means reinstalling the software may not fix any bugs you encounter, because those bugs are being saved in a folder. While it may be fantastic for convenience, it can also save bugs that you have been having. Uninstalling: This issue goes in hand with updating, when you uninstall Hitfilm express, it leaves behind a little hidden file that saves your settings, presets, directories, etc. Having a built in updater would be very useful, especially for when you are reinstalling the software seven times to fix a bug. Not a big issue, but a very real one nonetheless. Updating: To update Hitfilm, I need to uninstall the software, go to their website, install the newest version, and go through the windows installation screen. Older versions of HitFilm HitFilm Pro HitFilm Express HitFilm Pro 2017 (2016) HitFilm 4 Pro (2015) HitFilm 3 Pro (2014) HitFilm 2 Ultimate (2012) HitFilm. Regardless, the fact it isn’t there makes it a lack of a basic feature. I’m starting to think that they just aren’t able to code it in at this point. The fact this wasn't added when Hitfilm was in its earliest stages is confusing in my opinion. Lack of a basic feature: Multi Track Audio in Recordings is a standard for every video editing software today. HitFilm Express is an area of strength for Adobe Premiere that empowers you to handily alter video and add impacts. (The fix is to go into options, and click “Restore ‘setting name here’ Defaults” for every single setting in the options menu) Re-installed the software several times, ended up spending hundreds on new computer parts, I talk about it more in the video. There was zero fix online, still might be. ![]() Media audio samples will not be available” Unable to use the automatic motion tracking feature. Some examples of these bugs and lack of features are: (Unlisted YouTube video where I talk about one of the more recent project destroying bugs I had with the software ) I've used Express for around 3 and a half years now, nearly every time I try to make a video I encounter a new bug that triples the amount of time it should have taken to make the video, or downright stops the entire project. However, to be completely truthful, I’ve had significantly more issues with their software over the last few years. I am extremely grateful to FXhome for all that they have given me. I am only sharing this because I want to see this software grow, not out of hatred. This software is free, and it's incredibly good at a lot of things. I can also add screenshots and videos for examples if you all would like.I’d like to start this by saying that the Hitfilm team seem like fantastic people. ![]() Does anyone have any advice? I'm at a loss and Google hasn't been helping. I'm almost certain it isn't the software and it's something I am doing. Now in version 16, HitFilm Express has been updated. This even happens when I record and import things from OBS into Hitfilm. HitFilm Express is a free, multi-track video editor with plenty of features to keep amateur and enthusiast videographers (and some pros) happy. I use a windows 10 system with a Ryzen 7 5700g, no graphics card. I've messed with the editor, I've messed with the rendering process, and nothing has helped. ![]() I figured it wasn't a big deal but when I export it, sure enough, it looks like hot garbage. On the left where it shows the source video, everything looks perfect. Every time I import a video and put it on the timeline, it significantly lowers the quality. I record almost all of my videos on my playstation 5 using share factory, I do some minor editing things in share factory and then upload it privately to YouTube so I can then download the video and edit it further in Hitfilm. ![]()
